Micro-blogging site Twitter’s meteoric rise has prompted the development of dozens of tools to manage your accounts. Whether you want to find other tweeters, track top Twitter users, enhance your tweeting or more – theres’ a tool for that.
The Birdsall Social Media Blog provides an extensive list of Twitter tools and organizes them into over a dozen categories. I could spend a day just going through them all. But here’s a few from the Birdsall’s Massive Twitter Sites & Tools Directory that caught my attention.
- Tweet Beep – Receive alerts by e-mail whenever a specific word or phrase is tweeted on Twitter.
- Twitter Vision - Real-time geographic visualization of posts to Twitter.
- Phweet – Telephone and talk to your Twitter friends.
- Twitt-Twoo – Update your Twitter status right from your blog’s sidebar.
- Remember the Milk – Create a “to do” list on Twitter, complete with reminders.
