Google for Non-Profits offers a series of free tools to help non-profit organizations, big or small. The tools include:
Google Grants - Free online advertising on Google.com to raise awareness and increase traffic to your Web site.
Checkout - Collect donations online and process them for free.
Google Apps - Learn how to use Gmail, Docs, Sites, and Calendars from a non-profit point of view.
Analytics - Drive targeted traffic to your Web site. Understand what people do when there. Make adjustments to improve performance.
Maps & Earth - Show people where and what you are concerned about.
YouTube - Use the world’s largest online video community to promote your cause.
Google News - Track and respond to news about your issue.
Google Groups - Google says you can “host discussions, organize events, inform donors, write messages to volunteers, and connect your staff and supporters.’
Google for Non-Profits says you can “Learn how you can use Google tools to promote your cause, raise money, and operate more efficiently.” Well I’m all for that. The section even includes tutorials geared toward non-profits.
