Want to know more about blogging beyond it is fun, and in many instances, profitable? Here’s my list of favorite tips sites for blogging.
1. The pick of the litter is ProBlogger. I’ve written before about Darren Rowse’s excellent Web site. Darren focuses on how to monetize your blog, but you’ll also find lots of tips on developing content. One thing you’ll notice about the Problogger site is the number of links. To Darren, no link is a bad link, even if it’s a link to a competitor site. Darren wrote a book on the topic as well. If you’re into blogging for profit ProBlogger is the place to be.
2. Extra for Every Publisher (XFEP.com) is also written for bloggers who want to make an income by publishing a blog. It has a broad range of categories to peruse including articles on interviewing, how to optimize WordPress, and use of domains.
3. Skelliewag is mostly about the King, Queen and everything — content! Skellie’s blog was there before many other blog tips sites were out, so he gives more perspective than others.
4. Blogsessive is a fairly light and easy place to get tips and the latest Wordpress tools and themes. Written by a European blogger, Alex Cristache, the site also provides some code tips.
5. The Blog Herald is a team-written blog and covers a wide range of blogging topics. If you are looking for the latest news and trends in blogging the Herald will have it.
A couple other good ones are DoshDosh and Daily Blog Tips, two sites packed with blog information.
