Microsoft to Rival Google in Search? Ina Fried reports in the CNET Beyond Binary blog that Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer said “his company may be the only one with a chance to rival Google in search over the long term, but acknowledged that it will take several more years and a whole lot of money.” What do you think?
Ask Kids Relaunched - Ask.com has launched a new version of its kids browser, Ask Kids. The Ask blog describes the browser “homegrown, built from the ground-up, with our own search technology. We basically started from scratch and added search results and websites that pass our very strict test of what’s OK and what’s not OK…. The result is what we believe to be the most comprehensive, kid-friendly search available today.”
Seeking Approval for Google-Yahoo Deal - PC World reports a group of 11 members of the U.S. House of Representatives has called for the Department of Justice to approve a proposed advertising deal between Google and Yahoo. Read about it hear.
