- Google has launched a new open source browser, called Google Chrome. It should be available for download sometime later today.
- To help people stay informed in the upcoming election, Google created Google 2008 U.S. Election. You can visit the site to find videos, news, and blog posts regarding the election, use Google tools to learn more about the candidates, and even locate election maps.
- Google Suggest feature has finally made it to the Google home page, after years in testing. This feature suggests search terms to will help with search queries, reduce spelling errors & save time.
- Microsoft is set to acquire Greenfield Online, including it’s European online price comparison & shopping site, Ciao. This move will help expand Microsoft’s offerings of search and e-commerce in Europe.
- Mapquest has launched MapQuest Beta. This is an initial launch and they will be making enhancements over the coming months. Some changes you can see are a new look and feel, and you can also see location relevant data including weather, traffic, and gas prices. You can try it out here: MapQuest Beta.
