- The long anticipated Yahoo! shareholder meeting has been completed, with an election of new board members following the long dispute with Carl Icahn. You can read the details of the meeting from the CNET live blog broadcast.
- Yahoo! has announced a refresh to Yahoo! Maps. They have updated and improved on the usability of Yahoo! maps, with features like local search integration, redesigned print page, and improved points of interest.
- Transit directions are now available on Google Maps for Symbian S60 and Windows Mobile.
- Google StreetView is now mapping rural areas as well as major metro areas in the US and EU. In doing so however there was at least one instance where a “no trespassing” sign was disregarded in error.
