As we have mentioned on several occasions before, Web analytics are very important in tracking the performance of any Web site. No matter what your goals may be, it is extremely hard to measure them without any type of data. Web analytics provide these measurements that can help you achieve your Web site’s goals.
Recently, there is a new kid on the block in the Web analytics world. It is called BLVD Status, and is currently in beta and offering free accounts for the analytics package. They have a live demo set up so you can view the options a little before signing up for an account which gives you the option to see even more. BLVD differentiates themselves by providing not only the live stats data but also conversion and in-depth data for your Web site. You can also set up RSS Conversions to track where the referral came from or the keyword used to find the feed. One of the creators of BLVD, Chris Bennett, provides more details on these features on his blog, 97th Floor.
They have been doing a great job of getting their name out on the Web. There have been blog articles written and announcements with links bookmarked on feed sites. To see user comments and feedback check out some of these examples:
- Digg - BLVD Stats (Best Live Analytics Service) Launched Today
- Sphinn - New Analytics Tool Open for Public Beta
- Mashable - Announcing BLVD Status: A New Way to Track Statistics
Even if you are currently using a another analytics service, BLVD is still worth checking out. It can’t hurt to have more data, you may end up liking this better for your Web site’s needs. Keep an eye on the BLVD Status Blog for future updates, such as the Wordpress Plugin they have added!
Let us know if you try BLVD and what you think! We would love to hear some feedback on this new tool or how you think it compares to other analytics tools.
