YouTube has announced that you can now annotate your videos. You can add speech bubbles, notes, and spotlights to your video making them more interactive for users. You can make an unlimited number of annotations for your video, and control the length of time your annotation appears on the screen, as well as where it appears on your screen.
You can create links from within your video to other pages on YouTube, essentially making a “choose your own adventure” type experience for viewers. One example that they give on the YouTube blog about annotations is an interactive magic trick. Using YouTube Annotations, the user can select a card and be a part of the magic trick!
If you are looking for a more hands-on explanation of how to annotate your YouTube submissions, you can watch the video on annotations.
Also, if your curiosity has the best of you, here is a video showing you how the interactive magic trick works.
