  • Don’t End URLs in .0: Want to avoid having a page indexed by Google? SEOMoz discovered, rather unpleasantly, that ending a URL with .0 will prevent the search engine from crawling your page. So don’t add a .0 to the end of a URL unless you want the page ignored.
  • Yahoo! Announces Google Paid Search Deal: Yahoo! announced last week it has reached an agreement with Google Inc. that will “enhance its ability to compete in the converging search and display marketplace.” View Google’s take here. The agreement enables Yahoo! to run ads supplied by Google alongside Yahoo!’s search results and on some of its Web properties in the United States and Canada. The deal could add up to $800 million a year to sales.
  • A New Version for Google Trends: Google has announced its latest version of Google Trends is now live. Google Trends is used to monitor how popular search terms are across geographic regions, cities, and languages. Sign-in to your Google account to see numbers on the graph download to a spreadsheet.
  • Live Search Cashback Now Available on eBay: Now you can get a little money back when you are shopping on eBay. Microsoft’s recently announced Live Search Cashback program has been extended to eBay. eBay’s “Buy it Now” listings are eligible. Watch for the cashback gleam next to eBay paid search ads.
