Spinfield: Powered by IdeaStar

Spinfield: Web marketing trends today, tomorrow, and beyond…

Online marketing blog produced by IdeaStar, Inc.

I am at the TCP conference room awaiting the start of our live EarthDay 2008 presentation.

The program started a few minutes late about 9:05 am.

The files are available at http://www.tcpi.com/earthday

The room is filled with marketers, network admins, customer service and IdeaStar staff.

The marketers are monitoring the traffic to the event videos. Looks like we’re off to a pretty good start.

The network admins are running around plugging in cables and checking servers and firewalls.

The customer service team are answering questions using Bold Chat.

The IdeaStar team is sitting back and relaxing knowing that everything will come off perfectly (yikes!).

9:25am Lots of good questions coming into the Bold Chat. Visitors have logged in from Germany to Shanghai.

Also present is Noel Lazelli, TCP’s Corporate Comm. manager. She is answering questions from the press.

For an event it’s kinda dry here. Everything is online. In the room is a bunch of people with laptops monitoring data, answering email, responding to chats.

There is a nice plate of muffins, scones and bagels!

Some production credits…Narrator is Joe Cali. Music score written by Jeff Dolsen.

The whole 50-minute program was produced in three weeks by IdeaStar.

9:30am Ellis Yan arrives. Room lights up.

Got question from Greenpeace about TCP’s worldwide capacity.

9:36am Article in USAToday about CFL. Why is such a simple product treated with controversy?

Ellis plans to announce a major recycling program. That’s cool.

Lots of blogs are listing us … NaturalPath.

Recycling plan to be cradle-to-cradle.

Getting ready to wrap up first hour. Next playback is at 12:00pm

Now reviewing the stats…first hour is up.
