Spinfield: Web marketing trends today, tomorrow, and beyond…

Online marketing blog produced by IdeaStar, Inc.

We’re back. The second program is rolling. We had a pretty good line of people waiting for it too start. We think the second time will be bigger than the first because we’ll pick up more West coast visitors.

All the keyboards are clicking away furiously here. But also we are taking small breaks to chomp down a good lunch provided by TCP’s kitchen.

Another TCP staffer joined us. The Bold Chat rings are happening every minute. That’s pretty cool.

Already we have more visitors downloading streams than the first hour. The Internet bandwidth here at TCP is getting stressed.

Switched to data card. Little better on speed.

TCP SpringlightStore is getting orders for bulbs. That’s a nice side-product to the event.

I love the part where Ellis holds a tiny mercury pellet in his hand. That’s all the mercury there is in the bulb. The pellet itself isn’t entirely mercury. Most of it is other chemicals used in the bulb. So why do some people make mercury a big deal? They must be misinformed or haven’t taken the time to research the issue.

People have locked-on to our streams from all around the world. So far 180 from U.S., 30 from Canada, plus more from Italy, U.K., India, China and elsewhere.

The top three questions coming in: what are the color temperatures, why don’t they work with dimmers, and where can I get them? No questions on mercury and clean-up.

More people are signing on. The chat rings should be starting up again soon.

The chats are starting up again.  They seem to come either before or after the program runs.

Time to close up and head back to the office.  Two more presentations will run today and then the entire program will be available via archive from TCP’s site.

I think this went very well with a good audience response.  We’ll have a “post mortum” afterwards and review the data.  Until then I want to thank everyone who participated and especially Jeff Dolsen and Jon Vokes who busted their butts to get this done in a very short amount of time.

Happy EarthDay!
