Everyone is going “Green.” You can’t turn on the TV or radio, open a newspaper, or even elect a presidential nominee without hearing catch phrases like green, environmentally friendly, carbon neutral, carbon footprint, renewable energy credits, social responsibility, and on and on…. But, have you heard of the green marketing movement?

My blog posts will investigate green marketing techniques and beyond. We’ll explore its value and how the Internet can save resources, energy, trees and more. I’ll provide insightful information and helpful tips to get you into the green movement ultimately helping you make some green along the way.

Let’s start with the basics. Green Marketing is defined by the American Marketing Association as the marketing of products that are presumed to be environmentally safe. Did you know that 94 percent of all consumers prefer to do business with companies that care about the environment? 94% ! That’s huge! It’s becoming apparent you can’t afford not to go green.

You know you should. You even want to help save our world. But, I’m sure you’re thinking, “It’s too expensive and even though I want to be socially responsible it will cut into my bottom line.” The best way to start is to think in small steps because then it won’t be a monumental task and every little step counts.
